Quella della mia prima intervista a Fulvio De Simoni ha confermato la regola insita nell\u2019attesa, pi\u00f9 di molte altre<\/strong>. Sar\u00e0 che il progettista ha fama di essere persona dal carattere non facile, sar\u00e0 per via della profondit\u00e0 della sua cultura nautica, sar\u00e0 pure per la predisposizione a esternare il suo pensiero senza troppi giri di parole, fatto \u00e8 che una certa apprensione l\u2019incontro programmato me l\u2019ha provocata. La compattezza dell\u2019enorme cancello che delimita lo spazio privato che mi avrebbe accolta non fa che alimentare il sentimento di esitazione mista a soggezione, divenuto nel frattempo presenza ingombrante. Decido allora di sbarazzarmene in fretta. Appena varcata la soglia procedo a piedi lungo il vialetto di ghiaia e resto inebriata dai profumi del bosco e dagli scenari che via via si iniziata nel 1985 con il progetto del 45 piedi, con Pershing, il cantiere per il quale De Simoni e il suo team hanno progettato tutte le barche, ad eccezione del <\/em>GTX80<em>, per un totale di oltre 2.000 unit\u00e0 varate. Nell\u2019anno 2000 l\u201988 fu la barca apparsa sulla copertina delle principali riviste del mondo con oltre 50 pubblicazioni.<\/em><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-785081f elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"785081f\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>A fare gli onori di casa Fulvio De Simoni, sua moglie Isabella, i suoi collaboratori e un mare di immagini e oggetti che raccontano il gusto per il Bello (la maiuscola non \u00e8 ridondante) che ha accompagnato una carriera costellata di risultati e successi<\/strong>. Per me un sogno a occhi aperti: sto ancora studiando e ho la possibilit\u00e0 di collaborare con una delle poche realt\u00e0 gi\u00e0 all\u2019avanguardia. Poi, nel 1977, insieme a <strong>Massimo Gregori<\/strong>, altro collaboratore dello studio, fondiamo la Yankee Delta. Collaboriamo sino al 1983, anno in cui divento titolare unico di Italprojects, societ\u00e0 specializzata nello sviluppo di progetti ad elevato contenuto tecnologico nel settore navale industriale, tuttora attiva. <b>Quindi, nel 2015, per coinvolgere i miei pi\u00f9 stretti collaboratori, fondiamo la <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><a style=\"color: #ff6600;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.fulviodesimoni.it\/it\/home\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fulvio De Simoni Yacht Design<\/a><\/span>, in cui Enrico (Lotti), Cristiano (Tonarelli), Giuditta (Napoli), Francesco (Ferrari) e mia moglie sono partner\u201d<\/b><\/em>. Raggiunge una velocit\u00e0 massima di 34 nodi e una velocit\u00e0 di crociera di 29 nodi ed \u00e8 equipaggiato con una tripla propulsione waterjet abbinata a tre Man V12 2000 dalla potenza di 2.000 mhp.<\/em><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-52826c5 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"52826c5\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong><em>\u201cPer almeno trent\u2019anni mi sono occupato di ogni aspetto del progetto\u201d<\/em>, spiega Fulvio De Simoni<\/strong>. <em>\u201cQuesto perch\u00e9 per uno studio professionale era necessario saper fornire un servizio completo, che contemplasse, ad esempio, anche il disegno delle carene e degli impianti. Poi, con il prosieguo dell\u2019attivit\u00e0 e la specializzazione sempre maggiore che occorre nel lavoro, ci siamo dedicati soprattutto all\u2019ideazione della barca, al taglio degli interni, al disegno delle sovrastrutture, all\u2019architettura generale, preferendo lasciare ai tecnici e agli ingegneri l\u2019approfondimento dei temi di loro pertinenza. Questo anche perch\u00e9 i cantieri con cui collaboriamo, che un tempo risultavano \u2018a nostro carico\u2019 quanto a progettazione, sono diventati pure loro sempre pi\u00f9 grandi e strutturati, dotati di studi tecnici interni decisamente importanti. Basti pensare che solo ad Ancona nel Superyacht Yard di Ferretti Group, che realizza il Pershing 140, si contano una cinquantina di professionisti iper specializzati. Ricordo che a un certo punto siamo arrivati a confrontarci con un tecnico che si dedicava esclusivamente allo studio delle interferenze (EMI, ndr), e quindi della corretta installazione a bordo delle varie antenne. Questo per dire che i tempi erano maturi per fare un passo indietro e lasciare intelligentemente a ogni professionalit\u00e0 lo spazio per dare il suo contributo importante. Ogni nuova imbarcazione diventa cos\u00ec un mezzo partecipato di diversi apporti complementari, che si traduce in un miglioramento generale della qualit\u00e0 progettuale e realizzativa\u201d. Sono del resto lontanissimi i tempi in cui <strong>Norberto<\/strong> e <strong>Alessandro Ferretti<\/strong> vennero a Milano \u2013 nel primo studio in cui inizi\u00f2 la mia carriera accanto ad Alberto, che aveva gi\u00e0 lavorato in Riva e maturato quindi un\u2019esperienza importante sul campo \u2013, dicendoci: \u201cAbbiamo pensato di venire a trovarvi perch\u00e9 siamo commercianti d\u2019auto di Bologna, ma vorremmo costruire barche\u2026\u201d. Sono poi radicalmente cambiati anche i rapporti con i costruttori: quando la nautica mi piaceva, esisteva un confronto diretto, continuo e, quindi, proficuo con chi le barche le realizzava. Oggi i grandi cantieri pensano, invece, di fare tutto questo, delegando a tutta una serie di personaggi che, all\u2019interno di un\u2019organizzazione verticistica, sembra sempre che abbiano la necessit\u00e0 di scavalcare qualcun altro. Il risultato? Non sai mai se l\u2019obiezione che ti rivolgono \u00e8 pro domo propria o pro domo in generale. Non avere pi\u00f9 un dialogo diretto con la persona interessata fa s\u00ec che il rapporto di collaborazione diventi pi\u00f9 freddo, basato solo sui numeri, e questo a me non piace. Cos\u00ec come non amo confrontarmi con soggetti che ti portano come esempio da seguire quello di chi \u00e8 riuscito a realizzare una barca con due metri quadrati in pi\u00f9 di flybridge. Col fatto, cio\u00e8, che devono essere riempite di ogni cosa, avere un volume sempre pi\u00f9 grande, con spazi all\u2019interno, fuori e sotto sempre pi\u00f9 importanti, hanno prue che, invece di scivolare, con l\u2019acqua vanno a litigare, facendo cose di ogni genere.<br \/>Ecco, per prima cosa, la barca non deve essere uno \u201cscavafango\u201d. Deve essere diversa da quelle che si fanno adesso. I primi che hanno iniziato a fare questo, evidentemente non preparati, hanno rovinato il settore delle barche medie. La lotta per ingrandire \u00e8 presto fatta: si ingrossa, si allarga, si gonfia, si alza. Il prodotto si traduce in barche diventate oggetti non identificati, privi di forma. Ovvero dei cubi progettati da gente che non sa disegnare, per le quali l\u2019unica cosa importante \u00e8 che siano con la prua verticale, con la poppa verticale, con le fiancate verticali, con il tetto piatto, con tutto pi\u00f9 grande possibile, purch\u00e9 \u201cmoderne\u201d, come le Range Rover in cui hanno tolto anche le maniglie. Ok sul \u201cmoderno\u201d, ma tutto dovrebbe funzionare e avere una logica. Invece osserviamo imbarcazioni che navigano male perch\u00e9 i pesi non sono pi\u00f9 messi dove devono essere e dove i volumi sono pi\u00f9 grandi della misura che hanno al galleggiamento. Quindi, per rispondere alla domanda, per fare una barca \u201cgiusta\u201d bisogna che sia lontana da tutte queste, con proporzioni completamente diverse e corrette. Ogni qualvolta facciamo una barca nuova verifichiamo tutto con l\u2019ingegnere che, puntualmente, ci dice: \u201cBisognerebbe allargarla di venti centimetri o di mezzo metro\u201d. Con i computer, poi, si \u00e8 finito per pareggiare e appiattire parecchio. \u00c8 anche vero che non si pu\u00f2 darsi come scopo quello di inventare ogni giorno qualcosa: non \u00e8 facile e non sempre serve. Un conto \u00e8 poter assecondare il desiderio di fare una cosa nuova e realizzarla. Altro \u00e8 investire del denaro in una novit\u00e0 che in quanto tale non \u00e8 detto possa avere successo. In questo secondo caso, potrebbe essere pi\u00f9 sensato fare un passo indietro o per lo meno muoversi con cautela. Diciamo che il primo che decide di investire parecchio in una cosa nuova, diversa, dovrebbe forse poter e saper aspettare. L\u2019esempio pi\u00f9 clamoroso vissuto nella mia carriera riguarda la realizzazione, in contemporanea, del Pershing 115 e di uno yacht delle stesse dimensioni di un altro brand. A distanza di tempo possiamo affermare senza errore che questo yacht, decisamente innovativo dal punto di vista del design, ha influenzato moltissimo tutto ci\u00f2 che la nautica avrebbe prodotto negli anni a venire. Quanto a sviluppo successivo, la mia barca non ha mosso tutto questo. Ne sono state consegnate, per\u00f2, una dozzina, mentre dell\u2019altro ne \u00e8 stato venduto, dopo molti anni, un solo esemplare. Nel design riesci a innovare quando, senza bisogno di andare a guardare cosa c\u2019\u00e8 fuori da te, sei capace di offrire allo sguardo di chi osserva qualcosa di non visto e, quindi, compiutamente autentico, senza avere come obiettivo la meraviglia fine a s\u00e9 stessa.
