Besenzoni, a leading manufacturer of yachting components, returns to the Venice Boat Show, an event that is increasingly international and strategically important for the blue economy.

From 27 to 31 May at the Arsenale, the Sarnico-based company will present a wide-ranging selection of products, offering the most comprehensive overview of its global range: from gangways, both electric and hydraulic, to seating for helm stations.

A preview of what’s coming

The P 400J Matrix Junior pilot seat will be on display – a compact evolution of the Matrix range, already awarded numerous accolades for its ergonomics and refined design. This seat brings the comfort typically found on high-end boats to smaller vessels, with dimensions naturally suited to boats of a more modest size.

There will also be two gangways for boats of various sizes, fitted with outboard motors: the PE 660 Jolly, in its electric version – compact and lightweight, ideal where stern space is limited – and the PI 461 Miss, a telescopic external hydraulic gangway that also serves as a small davit for tenders and water toys.

From a leading financial and technological centre to a strategic platform for refits and services dedicated to large recreational craft. This is the leading role that Singapore assumes in the Asia Pacific, determined to gain a prominent position in the global yachting network

The Asian metropolis, which has one of the highest densities of millionaire families globally (a factor that is not insignificant in this specific context), is playing an increasingly important role in the global superyacht sector

thanks to the development of new infrastructure dedicated to the maintenance, repair, and refit of large vessels operating in Southeast Asia. Above all, it benefits from a network of specialised skills and stability that offers shipowners and captains the confidence of personalised service with proven reliability. It is on this basis that Singapore’s Superyachts Cluster is devising an action plan to boost its international competitiveness in the sector.

The 2026 edition of the Singapore Yachting Festival will be held from 23 to 26 April at ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove, with over 70 yachts and more than 200 brands in attendance.

Barche examined the framework and potential with lawyer Simone Centola following his appointment as Chair of the Superyachts Cluster of the Singapore Boating Industry Association (a full member of ICOMIA, in which Centola is the representative for the Superyachts Division and the Asia Working Group). The Cluster’s goal is clear: to assist the city-state in establishing itself as one of Asia’s leading hubs capable of providing high-value-added services dedicated to the superyacht sector. “Singapore offers proven expertise in repairs, maintenance, and marine engineering for sophisticated vessels, which can be applied to the superyacht industry (where orders at local shipyards are gradually increasing), supported by a first-class logistics system and legal certainty. These are three pillars of utmost importance for shipowners, captains, their consultants, and superyacht manufacturers, who are consistently seeking reliable partners”.

// «Singapore offers comprehensive construction and engineering expertise, top-tier logistics, and legal certainty. These are three pillars of vital importance for both shipowners and captains». Simone Centola //

Simone Centola

Chair of the SBIA Superyachts Cluster and a General Committee Member of the Singapore Boating Industry Association, lawyer Simone Centola has 25 years of experience in London and Singapore (where he has practised since 2010) across the maritime, defence, technology, industry, and luxury sectors.
His professional expertise includes advising large yacht owners, shipyards, suppliers, and associations, with a focus on strategy, governance, transactions, contracts, and dispute resolution. The Superyachts Cluster’s mission is clear: to accelerate Singapore’s position as a leading centre for Asia, with a particular focus on repairs and maintenance, refits, and advanced services.

What is the background of the Superyachts Cluster? For decades, the United States and Europe have been the clear leaders in construction and after-sales services. Today, Asia is slowly emerging as a highly competitive region. Singapore, in particular, is seeing growth in the number of superyachts passing through, including those operating permanently in the area and those from the Pacific that typically explore the region for around six months to two years, mainly due to the services it provides. Although current geopolitical conditions have temporarily reduced the usual flow from the Mediterranean, the number of superyachts continues to grow. The expansion of the Asian fleet is driven by a new generation of owners living in this region. Being relatively young (30-50 years old), they prefer cruising destinations close to their families and businesses. International owners are attracted to the beauty of Asia’s many cruising spots, which are less crowded than the Mediterranean and the Caribbean, and often use superyachts for public relations. To support all this, the region requires new hubs with dependable services. Singapore is ready to offer this support.

What is its “calling card”? Singapore’s competitive edge extends beyond its shipyards and maritime services. The city-state is a hub for asset management and specialised professional services (with around 2,000 single-family offices, major banks, and international law firms), complementing its reputation for superyacht ownership. Its regulatory framework is secure, logistics are efficient, and visiting technical teams benefit from clear and reliable processes. These factors all contribute to an integrated ecosystem of yachting services.

The Singapore Yachting Festival is the leading event for the Southeast Asian yachting sector, showcasing superyachts, pleasure craft, water toys, and lifestyle brands, with an anticipated attendance of over 13,000 visitors. The programme’s events play a vital role in connecting key decision-makers, thereby strengthening the city-state’s strategic position in the global luxury yachting industry.

// Investments promoted by selected shipyards and suppliers, associated with major infrastructure developments, are enabling the company to capture an increasingly large share of the market. //

What are the key factors in developing an attractive operational base for the entire South-East Asia region? While Singapore cannot be described as a “nautical” tourist destination in the traditional sense, like Thailand or Indonesia, it is also true that it aims for a different objective: to serve as the operational and technical hub for superyachts in the region. Changi Airport remains one of Singapore’s main strengths. The speed of customs procedures and loading and unloading operations makes the transfer of crew members, spare parts and equipment more fluid, guaranteeing shipowners and their guests a secure network of international connections. Local shipyards are capable of providing complex engineering works, maintenance, repairs and refits, thanks in part to the support of experienced international subcontractors and suppliers who, like those in the design and technology sectors, can easily integrate their systems and proceed. The range of services is also strengthening and diversifying on the nearby island of Batam, Indonesia, where over a hundred shipyards operate, including international players. Added to this are the opportunities offered by long-term infrastructure plans, with the consolidation of container handling operations in the Tuas area gradually freeing up the central portion of the waterfront opposite the city’s financial centre, making it potentially usable for nautical tourism. The proposed Long Island coastal protection project, corresponding to 800 hectares of reclaimed land to the east, would also create new areas along the coast, parks and infrastructure for nautical tourism as part of a future 120-kilometre continuous coastline.

// Singapore’s competitive advantage extends beyond its shipyards. The city-state is a hub for asset management, legal advisory and specialised professional services, an environment that aligns well with superyacht ownership. //

How many superyachts are currently based in the Lion City? According to the website sgmarineguide.com, Singapore currently hosts between 30 and 40 superyachts ranging from 24 to 30 metres in length, with a further ten measuring over 40 metres, up to more than 80 metres. The most significant economic impact comes from the regular arrival of 50-100-metre superyachts: on average, four to five pleasure boats every month, staying between 30 and 90 days, with an estimated spending capacity of between $500,000 and $1,000,000 per vessel. Regarding the availability of berths, the same source mentions Raffles Marina, ONE°15 Marina, Keppel Bay and the Yacht Club of the Republic of Singapore; options for yachts over 90 metres at Keppel Island’s East Wharf and HarbourFront Cruise Centre (through agency mediation); eastern and western moorings for yachts that do not require a berth in the marina. Alongside the constant demand for berths and spaces in marinas, there is a growing interest in services more generally. Investments promoted by selected shipyards and suppliers, alongside major infrastructure developments, are enabling an increasing share of the market to be captured. The main economic benefits extend to maritime services, hospitality, retail and the cultural sector.

// Singapore offers proven expertise in repairs, maintenance, and marine engineering for sophisticated vessels, which can be applied to the superyacht industry. //

Breaking news

«The recent news that Richard Liu Qiangdong, founder of the giant JD.com, has entered the superyacht market with Sea Expandary marks an important step for the sector: 100% renewable energy yachts and $700 million in investments in China’s Greater Bay Area. There are already five orders for 72-metre superyachts. Liu has stated that his goal is to build a national production chain ecosystem to reduce dependence on imports, while positioning Sea Expandary in the export market to Europe and the United States, helping to catalyse a larger cluster of Chinese nautical brands. Singapore could also benefit from this development, consolidating its position as a regional centre for advanced services, focusing on its expertise, innovation and sustainability».

What is the aim of the Superyachts Cluster? To connect regional and international stakeholders through delegations, round tables, and technical exchanges. To enhance standards of sustainability, compliance, and innovation. To deliver tangible results that foster mutual trust between shipyards, shipowners, captains, and consultants. The potential Singapore offers to the superyacht sector has been discussed for years, but the new Cluster aims to accelerate its full realisation. The goal is long-term, focusing on involving local shipyards and suppliers and aligning activities with those of the most reputable international showcases and associations to bridge existing gaps and integrate Singapore more fully into the global superyacht network.

What cards are on the table? Singapore’s appeal lies in its stability and predictability. Superyacht projects are grounded in precision, a prerogative that encompasses customised processes, technical execution, and project management, all of which can be reliably maintained at scale for years to come. The goal is to bolster Singapore’s vital role as Asia’s centre of reference for services dedicated to large yachts and their owners, aligning with the highest global standards. As new-generation marinas and waterfront destinations emerge worldwide, Singapore is also well placed to capture an increasingly significant share of the high-end yachting tourism market and related services.

// The range of services is also expanding and diversifying on the neighbouring island of Batam, Indonesia, where over one hundred shipyards operate, including international players. //

What will be the key events for the Cluster in 2026? In mid-April, we will contribute to several targeted initiatives during the Singapore Yachting Festival, the largest gathering of industry professionals in the region, which will open the day after the Southeast Asia Yachting Conference, where we will present an overview, focusing particularly on maintenance, repair, and refit activities in the superyacht sector. We will invite qualified representatives to visit the main local shipyards. At the end of September, we will participate with a delegation at the Monaco Yacht Show to strengthen collaborations and contacts with key international players, given the importance and stature of the Monegasque event.

The Palm Beach International Boat Show 2026, a premier event in the industry, offers Benetti a vital opportunity to strengthen its foothold in the rapidly growing American large-yachts market.

The American market

The Shipyard’s renewed participation is part of a structured strategy to strengthen its position in the region, currently led by Benjamin Croucher for North America and Giorgio Sarti for the LATAM market. This effort aims to secure long-term commercial relationships and reinforce the brand’s leadership in the international high-end yachting sector.

Steel, hybrid technology and custom design:
the Benetti strategy

The rising demand for highly personalised solutions in the large-yacht sector remains a fundamental element of the brand‘s strategy. This approach is grounded in extensive expertise in steel construction and has developed over time through the integration of advanced engineering technologies, the creation of more efficient naval architectures, and a design philosophy fully dedicated to bespoke solutions—embodying the Shipyard’s innovative and visionary outlook.

Promoting the latest generation projects

Following the success of 2025 with the delivery of two 67-meter yachts, Benetti now boasts an order book in the steel segment above 499 GT, exceeding 21,000 GT, with units currently under construction and deliveries scheduled over the next three years.

  • Alongside two fully custom units under construction, the steel segment includes several product families currently in the backlog, reflecting a broad and well-structured offering.
  • The Loft 58M, a new concept developed by Cassetta Yacht Designers, introduces an innovative architectural language characterised by volumes and heights inspired by spacious lofts. The project also features the new Cabana Deck, a reimagined space in the beach area: covered yet in direct contact with the sea, designed to offer an unprecedented living experience.
  • The Yond line of voyagers, designed for long cruises, is represented by a full-custom 47M and the new 57Ms, designed by Lobanov Design and Bonetti/Kozerski Architecture.
  • The Now line, currently the cornerstone of the Shipyard’s production with exterior styling by RWD, includes models ranging from 50 to 72 meters. These units feature interiors designed by world-renowned firms such as Valentina Zannier,
  • Reymond Langton Design
  • , and Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design. The family has also been expanded with the first two 67-meter hybrid yachts, recently launched in Livorno.

The hybrid propulsion system fitted on these two units is notable for its modular design: the three main components – main engines, generators, and battery pack – work flexibly and in harmony to suit each cruising profile, enhancing energy flow and efficiency. This adaptable setup, combined with an advanced shaft drive system with variable pitch propellers, offers high performance by allowing the selection of the most efficient configuration depending on the specific scenario. The commitment to reducing environmental impact is also reflected in the smart use of waste energy: a heat recovery system captures energy produced by the generators, enabling reuse across various operating modes of the yacht.

B.Neos – the project with silence at its core makes its debut in the USA

The Palm Beach International Boat Show 2026 has also been chosen for the American market debut of B.Neos, the new 40-meter hybrid. The project springs from a clear design choice: to offer a low-noise, high-comfort cruising experience based on the latest-generation hybrid propulsion system, included as standard.

In terms of style, B.Neos is distinguished by a sleek silhouette and clean lines, resulting in an elegant and contemporary profile designed by McKeon Yacht Design. The interior architecture, created by Francesca Muzio (FM Architettura), focuses on warm, functional spaces to promote a more relaxed approach to yachting. The layout is designed to create a seamless flow between interiors and exteriors, enhancing the onboard experience where time, privacy, and engagement with the surrounding environment are central.

The project is complemented by an integrated ecosystem of turnkey services – including an extended warranty, advanced remote monitoring systems and crew training programs – designed to ensure maximum operating reliability and protect the value of the investment over time.

On display

M/Y Liv Love

Making her world premiere at Palm Beach, Liv Love is an Oasis 40M featuring a blue hull that enhances the yacht’s lines and underscores her elegant silhouette. At the project’s core is the Oasis Deck by RWD: an open platform overlooking the sea, designed to invite direct contact with the water and create a new dimension for social interaction.

The interiors, developed based on concepts by Bonetti/Kozerski Architecture and decorated by the owner’s designer, stand out for their use of fine materials including rosewood, onyx and marble with unique veining, as well as travertine in the main cabins.

M/Y Mine Games

On show alongside Liv Love, M/Y Mine Games is a B.Now 50M – with exteriors by RWD and custom interiors designed by the Benetti Style Department – that epitomizes the Shipyard’s excellence in bespoke yacht production. A distinctive feature is the positioning of the tender and water toys in the bow, resulting in plenty of usable space aft.

On the lower deck, an uninterrupted 30-square-meter surface combines the beach area and a generous wellness space, forming a spacious terrace at the water’s edge. The design also ensures a high level of privacy by providing two separate internal staircases with completely independent flows, one for guests and the other for crew.

Benetti will be present at the Palm Beach International Boat Show from March 25th to 29th, stand IW 215.

Galeon Yachts announces the world premiere of the new Galeon 520 Fly at this year’s Palm Beach International Boat Show.

After a private preview for select clients and dealers during the Miami International Boat Show, the model will make its official global debut in Palm Beach.

Let’s discuss the 520 Fly

The 520 Fly signifies the newest development in Galeon’s flybridge range. It offers spacious living quarters and practical layout options. Built at the second-generation, family-owned shipyard in Gdansk, which has delivered over 2,800 yachts since 1996, the 520 Fly combines decades of in-house craftsmanship with the unique exterior styling of Tony Castro.

The layout

The flybridge is designed as a dedicated social zone, featuring a spacious sofa arrangement ideal for dining, relaxing, and open-air entertaining. The yacht also features sophisticated drop-down wings, an innovation first introduced by Galeon in the 12 to 24 meter range and now fully re-engineered for smoother operation. These wings are larger than before, with windows offering views of the sea below and expanding the living area for increased versatility. The galley and dining area on the main deck form a seamless open space with direct access to the cockpit, facilitating easy movement across the deck. The yacht’s sleek exterior lines define a modern profile while maximizing natural light inside.

Interiors

The interior concept, developed in collaboration with Insitu & Partners, is showcased in the Amber theme from the Mediterranean palette. Warm tones, high gloss lacquer finishes, brass-toned accents, and carefully selected fabrics establish a contemporary atmosphere consistent with Galeon’s recognised standards of craftsmanship.

Accommodation accommodates up to six guests across three cabins. The full-beam master suite, accessible via a private entrance and featuring an ensuite bathroom, provides a private owner’s space. A forward VIP cabin and a third guest cabin with a sliding bed system that can be configured as a double or twin complete the layout. Two bathrooms serve the lower deck, and an optional skipper’s cabin is available for extended cruising.

Where you’ll find it

Galeon 520 Fly will be displayed at the Galeon / MarineMax booth during the Palm Beach International Boat Show.

The 32nd edition of the Dubai International Boat Show will take place from 8 to 12 April 2026

by Marco Negri

Organised by the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), the show brings together leading shipyards, visionary designers and marine lifestyle enthusiasts from around the world. The 2025 edition welcomed over 30,000 visitors and more than 1,000 brands, showcasing a fleet of 200 yachts valued at AED 3.1 billion. Building directly on this momentum, DIBS 2026 deepens its commitment to superyachts, brokerage, innovation, and sustainability.

The show will feature a series of regional and international yacht previews, with some of the world’s leading manufacturers choosing Dubai as the stage to unveil their latest superyachts and high-performance boats.

The Innovation Zone, launched last year, is returning in an expanded form to showcase start-ups and high-tech disruptors shaping the future of performance, materials, and vessel efficiency. Away from the marina, visitors will find a range of new and familiar features that enhance the show experience. The Captain & Crew Lounge is back for its second year, providing a dedicated space for professional development, wellbeing activities, and networking opportunities for maritime professionals. Just off the waterfront, Port of Call will host a full schedule of talks, demonstrations, and workshops that bring industry voices together, from designers discussing new build philosophies to technical experts presenting advances in performance and materials.

“Every year, we aim to develop features that deepen engagement and highlight the most exciting developments in the industry”, says Alex Nicholl, Vice President of New Industries at DWTC. Dubai’s rapid growth as a superyacht hub remains one of the region’s standout stories. DIBS 2026 reinforces this role with a broader display of marinas, world premieres, dayboats and high-performance craft.

The Brokerage Zone, introduced in 2025, has expanded significantly, offering dedicated harbour berths for leading international brokerage houses and easy access for serious buyers thanks to its mindful location, close to the central main marina display.

The Flybridge Lounge returns, offering visitors the opportunity to enjoy panoramic views of the marina. One of the most important new features for 2026 is the Sunset Media Tour, which replaces the traditional morning tour. As Nicholl describes it: “Walking along the marina at sunset, with the world’s most advanced yachts set against Dubai’s skyline, is something that never loses its impact”.

«Dubai Harbour is the perfect setting for showcasing the world’s most advanced superyachts and the latest marine innovations. Every year, our goal is to drive the industry forward through technology, sustainability and the visitor experience».

]]>

At the Miami Boat Show, Mercury Marine announced a new generation of digital and control innovations: the Mercury Keyless system, Boost calibration, the Premier Joystick, and the new DTS Performance pedal.

Designed to enhance performance, simplify operation and improve the boating experience, these technologies strengthen Mercury’s integrated propulsion systems, bringing together hardware, software and digital connectivity in a seamless, technology-driven ecosystem that supports the brand‘s ‘propeller to helm’ strategy.

With the launch of all these innovations, Mercury is sending a clear message: the future of boating is smarter, more connected and more intuitive”, said John Buelow, president of Mercury Marine. Each solution addresses a fundamental consumer need: control, performance, ease of use and customisation, working together to create a more cohesive and superior experience on the water”.

Boost: digitally unlocked performance.

Boost introduces software-based engine calibration that delivers a 5% to 21% increase in acceleration at mid-range speeds and performance from zero to top speed, addressing one of the most sought-after performance attributes for boaters. Available as an upgrade for installation by an authorised Mercury outboard dealer, Boost delivers increased responsiveness without additional modifications, allowing owners to enhance performance through reliable, manufacturer-authorised software further. Boost will also be installed on select Mercury outboards later this year. The platform accelerates Mercury’s transition to digital product experiences, improves control and lays the foundation for a broader portfolio of software-based upgrades.

Mercury Keyless system is now even more practical.

The new Mercury Keyless system puts ease of access and convenience at your fingertips, allowing you to unlock, start and secure your boat from your smartphone. Designed to support both single-engine and multi-engine configurations, the system integrates directly with SmartCraft Connect, consolidating security, connectivity and control into a single digital ecosystem. A startup inspired by the automotive industry, it offers intuitive boat automation, centralised security, and effortless control of complex configurations, all while easily supporting up to 6 engines. The Keyless system is compatible with Mercury engines rated at 80 horsepower or more, with mechanical and DTS controls, including single-engine configurations.

Premier Joystick, expanded capabilities.

Mercury has introduced a redesigned Premier Joystick and an updated interface for the multifunction display (MFD) to provide a more intuitive control experience at the helm. New features include Dockhook, which helps maintain position along the dock more easily, Skyhook Reposition and Skyhook remote rudder control. This introduction extends joystick manoeuvring and piloting support to outboards with twin bow thrusters, providing greater precision and lateral control during low-speed manoeuvres. In addition, users without a joystick have extended access to advanced features such as Skyhook, Heading Hold and Position Hold. Together, these enhancements increase confidence at the helm, improve manoeuvrability in tight spaces and expand access to Mercury’s most advanced control technologies.

DTS Performance Pedal, precision control

Rounding out the suite of innovations is the DTS Performance Pedal, a foot-operated throttle that provides greater control and safety in high-speed single-engine applications, allowing operators to keep both hands on the wheel. Designed for DTS-equipped boats operating at speeds above 120 km/h, the Performance Pedal is ideal for bass boats and small sports boats. Compatible with current and previous DTS systems, the pedal features a brand-new compact throttle input sensor with improved sensitivity, a high-quality anodised aluminium profile, a non-slip EVA marine coating, and an integrated hook for added safety, ensuring precise throttle control in high-performance environments.

The shipyard has successfully concluded boot Düsseldorf 2026, signalling a strong entry into Europe.

Bahrain-based boat builder “H Al Dhaen Boats” has successfully concluded its participation at boot Düsseldorf 2026, marking a significant milestone in the shipyard’s international expansion and its official entry into the European market. The show yielded tangible commercial results, strong market interest, and a solid foundation for future growth across Europe.

The DB 380SC

At the centre of the shipyard’s presence was the European debut of the DB 380SC, designed in collaboration with Mulder Design. The model attracted significant attention from both industry professionals and private clients throughout the show and the first unit was successfully sold during boot Düsseldorf to a Turkish owner, with the boat to be based and operated in Turkey.

The sale represents concrete confirmation of the market’s response to H Al Dhaen’s product philosophy, which combines robust construction, refined design, and a layout tailored to both day boating and extended cruising. The DB 380SC is a 41-foot motorboat that combines contemporary styling with a practical walkaround layout and generous outdoor spaces. The model offers comfortable accommodation below deck and is RINA-certified, reflecting H Al Dhaen Boats’ focus on quality, safety, and international standards for a global clientele.

Beyond the commercial results, boot Düsseldorf proved to be a highly effective platform for relationship-building. H Al Dhaen Boats held extensive meetings with prospective European dealers across key markets, laying the groundwork for a structured and selective dealer network to be developed in the coming months. Discussions initiated during the show are expected to progress through spring 2026, following technical evaluations, factory visits and contractual alignment.

From a production standpoint, the DB 380SC is positioned as a core model within the shipyard’s portfolio. H Al Dhaen Boats plans to build up to 15 units of the DB 380SC in 2026, underscoring the transition to a consistent, scalable production rhythm.

Boot Düsseldorf has been an important and very encouraging step for H Al Dhaen Boats”, said Captain Abdulla Al Murbati, CEO of H Al Dhaen Boats. “The sale of the DB 380SC, the quality of discussions with industry partners, and the level of interest from the press all confirm that our approach resonates with the European market. This is only the beginning of a longer-term strategy”.

The company enhances its international presence in the first half of 2026 through investments in boat shows, network expansion, and technical training.

Key initiatives include increased attendance at boat shows and a new training program dedicated to the service network in Italy and abroad. These efforts illustrate the Sarnico-based company’s goal of expanding internationally by building a robust, well-organised commercial and service structure to support customers and partners across various markets.

2026 has started with strong momentum for Besenzoni, with a major commitment to commercial and international activities through a program designed to consolidate the brand’s presence in foreign markets and enhance the quality of services provided to shipyards, owners and yachting professionals.

The boat shows

Recently, the company has been active in Italy and internationally, participating in Nauticsud and the Miami International Boat Show, both until February 15. At Nauticsud, Besenzoni showcases a curated selection of products, from multifunction ladders to electric gangways, along with the new Start P 458 helm seat, a recent addition to its seating range. The Miami event highlights the company’s presence in key North American and Central/South American markets. In addition to these international shows, the Sarnico-based firm will join its dealers at the Zagreb Boat Show from February 18-22 and the Bosphorus Boat Show in Turkey from February 26-28.

In March, the company will participate in Seaquip, the inaugural Mediterranean Yacht and Marine Equipment Trade Fair, held in Milan from March 4-6 under the “Together We Boat” brand. This demonstrates Besenzoni’s dedication to fostering industry dialogue about marine components and technological innovation for yachting.

Later in March, the company’s exhibition schedule includes the Palm Beach International Boat Show. In April, it will attend the Dubai International Boat Show, a significant event for market expansion in the Middle East and strengthening dealer and operator relationships in this fast-growing region. The Venice Boat Show at La Serenissima in late May will mark Besenzoni’s final appearance before the major autumn boat shows

Besenzoni, alongside its exhibition activities, is implementing a comprehensive training program for its service network both in Italy and internationally. The courses, organized at multiple levels, range from advanced training for experienced service centers to basic courses for new partners, ensuring consistent technical standards and qualified support across all markets where the company operates. This initiative forms part of a broader strategy to strengthen the global network of authorized dealers and service centers. This network is vital for supporting Besenzoni’s growth abroad, maintaining customer proximity, ensuring quick response times, and providing long-term service continuity.

Archipelago Yachts announced the All-Electric Archipelago 40 at boot Düsseldorf 2026, introducing the first fully electric model in the British company’s range.

Based on the proven and highly capable Archipelago 40, the all-electric version has been carefully re-engineered to accommodate a high-capacity battery system and electric drivetrain, while retaining the robust, go-anywhere DNA that defines the Archipelago brand.

Dr Stephen Weatherley, CEO of Archipelago Yachts, commented: “The All-Electric Archipelago 40 represents a pivotal moment for our company and for the wider expedition yacht market. Rather than compromise capability, we have taken everything that makes the Archipelago 40 so respected and re-engineered it for a zero-emissions future. By partnering with ePropulsion and designing the boat to be ready for future methanol range extension, we are giving owners a genuinely future-proof vessel that is efficient, powerful, and responsible”.

At the heart of the new vessel is a fully integrated electric propulsion system supplied by ePropulsion, featuring twin 250kW low-speed electric motors. The motors deliver direct drive propulsion, eliminating the need for gearboxes and enhancing efficiency, reliability, and onboard comfort. Energy is stored in approximately 600kWh of installed battery capacity, supporting both propulsion and hotel loads.

To further enhance energy independence, the All-Electric Archipelago 40 is equipped with an extensive 8kW solar array, seamlessly integrated across the roof, side decks, and topsides. This solar capability significantly extends operational range and reduces reliance on shore power.

Danny Tao, Co-founder and CEO of ePropulsion, said: “The All-Electric Archipelago 40 shows what can be achieved when electric propulsion is fully integrated into the vessel design. Combining our twin 250kW low-speed electric motors with a high-capacity battery system and integrated solar generation, the platform delivers efficiency, reliability, and outstanding onboard comfort. It is a strong example of how electric propulsion can enhance capability while supporting a more sustainable future for cruising yachts” .

The vessel delivers a top speed of approximately 22 knots, offers accommodation for up to six guests, and has been designed primarily for operation in the Mediterranean, where electric propulsion, solar generation, and low-noise operation deliver clear advantages. Importantly, the All-Electric Archipelago 40 has been engineered as a future-proof platform, with the structure and systems already prepared for the integration of a methanol range extender once the technology and infrastructure mature.

The launch of the All-Electric Archipelago 40 underlines Archipelago Yachts’ commitment to innovation, sustainability, and long-term ownership value, while maintaining the rugged performance and refined design for which the brand is known.
