The McLaren Artura Spider MCL39 Championship Edition is the Woking-based manufacturer’s first high-performance hybrid uncovered

by Francesco Michienzi

McLaren Automotive pays tribute to McLaren Racing’s tenth Formula 1 Constructors’ World Championship title.

The 3-litre twin-turbo V6 petrol engine is coupled with an electric motor (an axial-flux motor). It features rear-wheel drive and an 8-speed automatic transmission. In terms of performance alone, this model can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3 seconds and attain a top speed of 330 km/h. It is the styling features and the numerous details across the bodywork and aboard that define this special edition of the Artura Spider MCL39 Championship Edition. These include the hand-painted livery, featuring a shade that blends MSO Bespoke Myan Orange (orange) and Onyx Black.

The exterior features are enhanced by the Black Pack and the super-lightweight, gloss-black, ten-spoke Dynamo forged alloy wheels, with McLaren Myan Orange brake callipers contrasting with the black McLaren logos, complemented by the Stealth Badge package and the sports exhaust with a Stealth Exhaust finish. The number 10 stands out on the sides, appearing both as a numeral (also featured on the headrests) and as stars, which are also found in the MSO Bespoke interior, with a 12 o’clock marker on the steering wheel in Myan Orange.

Each model will feature a personalised plaque on the centre console, emphasising the car’s exclusivity. The Track Record, located in the boot, details the wins, pole positions, and fastest laps achieved by the Woking-based team during the 2025 F1 World Championship season. The interior boasts Alcantara Performance Carbon Black and Jet Black Nappa leather, while the door sills, finished in satin-finish carbon fibre, will be hand-signed by the F1 team’s drivers, Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri.

The Bertone GB110 is the first hypercar from the Italian brand, which started as a body shop and is now a genuine manufacturer of limited edition super sports cars

by Francesco Michienzi

A true marvel, the result of the ingenuity of men whose mission is to deliver pure emotion. The Bertone GB110 is a car that combines stratospheric performance with elegant and original styling, spiced with touches of the company’s glorious past. Built entirely from carbon fibre, its design is the work of Italian designer Andrea Mocellin. Thanks to its 5.2 V10 twin-turbocharged engine, capable of delivering up to 1,140 horsepower and 1,100 Nm of torque, it can reach an electronically limited top speed of 350 kilometres per hour.

Designed by Italian designer Andrea Mocellin, the GB110 is low, wide, and athletic. It respects the classic proportions of modern mid-engined hypercars with a short, downward-swept nose and a more muscular rear end profiled to channel air into the engine compartment. The interior has a sporty character and is meticulously crafted by highly experienced master craftsmen.

The Bertone GB110 is powered by a 5.2-litre twin-turbocharged V10 engine developing 1,124 hp and 1,100 Nm of torque, which is sent to the ground via an all-wheel-drive system controlled by a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.

Acceleration is breathtaking, from 0 to 300 km/h in just 13 seconds. It is a 2-seater hypercar weighing 1,423 kilograms. Maximum engine speed is 8390 rpm. Thanks to a collaboration with the specialist company Select Fuel, this hypercar can run on synthetic fuels derived from plastic waste.

A carbon-ceramic system handles braking, with discs mounted behind forged alloy wheels measuring  21 inches at the front and 22 inches at the rear.

The 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission is linked to four-wheel drive, carbon-ceramic brakes and 21-inch forged alloy wheels at the front and 22-inch wheels at the rear. The car’s wheelbase is 2,630 mm, the suspension is double wishbone, with coil springs and four-way damping adjustment.

Bertone carries a strong heritage. I am 55 years old and I know Bertone by heart. It is not a well-known brand among young people, but when they discover it, they realise how incredible what it has done in the past is”. After selling their engineering company, Jean-Franck and his brother, Mauro, bought the Bertone name and brand rights in 2022. “We had 22,000 engineers working for the automotive and aerospace industries. We worked for companies like Daimler and the Volkswagen Group. We can consider the GB110 to be 30% part of the VW Group, with the rest being all new. The engine, suspension, brakes and even the body are all new”.

The 20th edition of Top Marques Monaco, which concluded on Sunday evening May 11 at the Grimaldi Forum, has been declared the most successful in the event’s history

Over four days, the show welcomed an especially large audience, confirming the growing appeal of Top Marques Monaco among enthusiasts and collectors from around the world. This year’s edition showcased 190 exceptional vehicles, nearly 100 exhibitors, and attracted over 370 accredited journalists and content creators. The 2025 edition was officially opened on Thursday, May 8 by H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco, who kicked off the event by unveiling several of the 13 premieres presented this year – a strong demonstration of Monaco’s role as an international hub for automotive innovation and excellence.

Among the unveiled models were two supercars by the famous Monegasque influencer and Top Marques ambassador GMK: a customized Lamborghini Aventador SV and a high-performance Porsche Taycan Turbo GT. In addition, Prince Albert II revealed the Rubau hypercar from Spain, as well as the Monaco edition of the LM1 by Laffite Automobili – a model he personally helped design, providing input on the interior and exclusive color choices.

H.S.H Prince Albert also took special interest in the Aston Martin Vanquish Volante presented by BPM Exclusive and the spectacular Lamborghini Temerario from Groupe Segond Automobiles.

Sales were one of the highlights of this year’s event, with numerous confirmed transactions across all sectors, including several vehicles sold for over one million euros — clear evidence of the exceptional quality of the showcased models and the high purchasing power of the targeted audience. From supercars to rare classic cars, along with luxury watches and jewelry, deals were made consistently throughout the four days, reinforcing the show’s status as a must-attend event for high-end collectors.

Top Marques Monaco launched with an exclusive VIP Preview Cocktail on Wednesday evening, sponsored by main partner zondacrypto, setting the tone for four days of elite networking and major transactions. “I met a potential buyer at Wednesday night’s cocktail”, said an exhibitor from the Classic Car Hall. “He called me first thing the next morning to confirm the purchase of a supercar”.
Among the personalities present were racing drivers Charles and Arthur Leclerc, Gabriel Bortoleto, Fernando Alonso, and Valtteri Bottas; comedian Roman Frayssinet; basketball players Mike James and Elie Okobo; football legends Robert Pirès and Giorgio Chiellini; and international footballer Breel-Donald Embolo. Automotive influencers GMK and Shmee150 also contributed to the atmosphere and the event’s digital visibility, as did Camille Gottlieb, influencer and daughter of Princess Stéphanie of Monaco. This year also marked the first edition held under the new partnership with Informa, bringing expanded international reach and enhanced operational expertise to this already prestigious show.

Emeric Garcia, Director of Top Marques Monaco, said last night: “This edition marked a true turning point, as it exceeded all our expectations. We reached a new milestone in terms of vehicle quality, commercial results, and audience profile. We’ve never received so much positive feedback from our exhibitors, many of whom confirmed their participation for next year during the preview night on Wednesday. We are preparing an even more ambitious 2026 edition, and I can already confirm that several global premieres are”.

Save the date: next year’s show will be held from May 6 to 10, 2026.

The bugatti tourbillon combines a naturally aspirated v16 engine, designed entirely by Cosworth, with three electric motors for a total output of 1,800 bhp. Top speed is limited to 445 km/h, and acceleration from 0 to 300 km/h is achieved in 9 seconds. Only 250 examples will be produced, all of which have already been sold, with a starting price of 3.8 million euros net

by Francesco Michienzi

The Bugatti Tourbillon is the first hybrid with a 16-cylinder naturally aspirated engine. The 8.3-litre V16 with 90° cylinder banks produces 1,000 hp and 900 Nm at 9000 rpm. There are also three electric motors. With an eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox mounted longitudinally in front of the engine, the Bugatti Tourbillon’s powertrain delivers 1,800 horsepower.

The Bugatti Tourbillon doesn’t use digital technology, instead using three analogue dials that display everything needed to drive the car. In other words, there are no screens but an analogue panel showing details such as the speedometer’s full scale at 550 km/h and, for the first time, the battery’s remaining charge that powers the three electric motors.

The Bugatti Tourbillon reaches 100 km/h from a standing start in around two seconds. At full throttle, 200 km/h is reached in around 5.0 seconds. 300 km/h is reached in just 10 seconds and 400 km/h in 25 seconds. Top speed is limited to 380 km/h unless the unique Speed Key is installed. When activated, the Tourbillon keeps its substantial rear wing down as the speed increases to 445 km/h.

The steering wheel rotates on bends, but the dials and some strategic buttons remain fixed, integrated into the column. The central part of the dashboard houses various controls and switches, including the one for starting the engine, which is protected by a glass cover. A small pop-up screen at the top of the dashboard houses the mirroring software for Apple CarPlay. A reversing camera is activated when the reverse gear is engaged.

From the front, the Tourbillon looks like a highly evolved Chiron: the inverted U or horseshoe mouth is very similar, as is the light signature, which makes the four LED elements stand out with their subtle silhouette on such a low and broad nose. But where the eye does not see, magic happens. The diffuser, essential for road-holding at very high speeds, starts almost immediately behind the passenger compartment, eliminating the need to raise the seats even slightly and creating the strategic Venturi effect that makes the whole package so efficient.

The V16 plug-in hybrid has an 8.3-litre engine that runs at 9000 rpm and produces 1,000 hp and 900 Nm without turbocharging. Three electric motors supplement this, for a total of 1,800 hp and 1,000 Nm.

The cockpit of the new Bugatti model completely eschews digital technology in favour of three analogue dials anchored to the column, which display everything needed to drive the car. In other words, there are no screens, just an analogue panel showing details such as the speedometer’s full scale at 550 km/h and, for the first time, the battery’s remaining charge that powers the three electric motors.

The exterior of the Tourbillon, similar to that of the Chiron, is characterised by a unique diffuser that starts just behind the cockpit and is virtually hidden from view.

The latest Bugatti loses nothing by becoming a plug-in hybrid except a bit of weight. Despite the battery pack and electric motors, Bugatti claims the Tourbillon is lighter than the Chiron. Moreover, it can drive around town without using the extraordinary V16 engine. It can go beyond the city with an electric range of 60 kilometres. The Bugatti Tourbillon will be hand-built at the Bugatti atelier in Molsheim, France, with a planned production run of 250 units and a base price of €3.8 million, with deliveries starting in 2026.

Top Marques Monaco back on time at the Grimaldi Forum, the event dedicated to “luxury-edition” four-wheel enthusiast. Thirteen world premiers are expected at the 2025 event, scheduled for May 7-11

by Olimpia De Casa

Top Marques Monaco, the event from May 7th to 11th at the Principality of Monaco hosted at the Grimaldi Forum is going to be unforgettable, organizers promise. The event is dedicated to luxury cars, particularly to super and hyper cars made by the most international high end car manufacturers. It represents one of the most expected and globally awaited industry appointments. Automative excellence is thus getting ready to warm the hearts (and engines) of admirers and enthusiasts, who will be able to touch pieces of the highest value, given the limited (if not extremely limited) runs of many of the exhibits.

This year is a very special one” declared Emeric Garcia, Event Director, during the press conference’s presentation. “We are starting to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the exhibition, indeed: 20 years dedicated to supercars in the beating heart of Monaco, 20 years of exclusive events with more than 110 inaugurations and high tech and, last but not least, 20 years under the high patronage of His Higness Prince Albert II of Monaco, whom I sincerely thank”.

Among the novelties (as many as thirteen inaugurations during this edition), the preview not to absolutely miss will be the one dedicated to Aston Martin Vanquish Volante, which is on its way to become the world’s fastest roadster. Among the close encounters of the “third kind” also include those with the most technologically updated models of iconic brands, like Pagani, Ferrari, Lamborghini and Bugatti with the extraordinary partecipation of a racing car produced in only fourty pieces. To capture the attention of classic cars collectors, experts and rarities lovers will be the display cabinet reserved to “author vintage” and to the most amazing and rare cars ever made. Among them, the exceptional Ferrari 250 Spyder California, “object” (value of 14 million of euros) made for fifty-five, not one more, lucky experts. If the “very Important Cars” call, the very important persons (of automative and not only) answer: to them the access is reserved to a series of Special Events that will be open with the exclusive Vip Avant Premiere cocktail, an appointment in the appointment between arts and glamour which will recall some of the absolutely most influential personalities of the automotive world.

The exhibition offerings will not be limited to supercars, but will be enhanced by a display cabinet of jewelry and watches equally exclusive and precious, with the presence of brands such as Bemon, C.C. Watches, Hôtel des Ventes de Monte-Carlo, Astrea, Infiniti Jewels, Sandra Bérété and Terzihan. Finally the 20th edition will propose a retrospective that will remember Top Marques’ history through the most representative and appealing moments, and a monumental work of art signed by Stefano Cigana by the title Le Sillage du Temp.

To have a seat in the first line (read reduced-price entry) you have time before April 20. Information, program and tickets on  www.topmarquesmonaco.com

Winning the f1 world construction championship is not a case when you can make real jewels of technology, such as the McLaren W1 hypercar

by Francesco Michienzi

The road-legal McLaren W1 is the fastest and most stunningly accelerating ever. A twin-turbo V8 and an electric motor power it. The total system output is 1,258 horsepower with a torque of 1,340 Nm.

The interior uses InnoKnit. This material integrates the interior lighting and audio components into a single surface.

The McLaren W1’s figures are exciting: 0-100 km/h in 2.7 seconds, 200 km/h in 5.8 seconds, and 300 km/h in 12.8 seconds. The top speed is limited to 350 km/h.

The mid-mounted 4-litre V8 MHP-8 is all-new and produces 916 bhp, added to the 347 bhp electric motor coupled to an 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox. The cylinders are arranged at 90° V and reach 9200 rpm thanks to some plasma-sprayed bores and a massive use of aluminium in the engine’s construction. Engineers McLaren have painstakingly worked out how to make this V8 particularly powerful, achieving a record output of 230 horsepower per litre. Fuel is injected directly into the cylinders at 350 bar.

Only 39 units will be built. The 5,000 cc engine will produce 1,000 horsepower. The price will be around 2 million euros

by Francesco Michienzi

The Naran Hyper Coupé is the first car from this brand. Only 39 examples will be built, each costing at least 2 million euros. The line is sharp and aerodynamically supported by the large rear wing. It was designed by Ameerh and Jowyn Wong of WYN Design.

The 5.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine produces 1,048 horsepower. Combined with advanced dynamic systems, it delivers F1-like agility and manoeuvrability.

Each car will be bespoke, reflecting the preferences of its owner. Every element will be customisable, including the use of marble and granite detailing and gold leaf finishes. The launch prototype has a ruby red exterior and gold accents on the interior.

«The entire car can be customised with endless possibilities. Each customer can choose every detail and material, including marble and gold leaf for the most luxurious finishes».

It is the brainchild of Ameerh Naran, 38, a Zimbabwean who studied product and design before becoming a successful entrepreneur. He is the man behind Vimana Private Jets, which specialises in the world of sought-after executive aircraft.  “We want to offer our clients unparalleled customisation and intense performance”, says Ameerh Naran, founder and CEO of Naran Automotive. Powered by a 5.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine producing 1,000 horsepower, this hypercar combines the power, agility and performance of a supercar with the added benefit of two extra seats, allowing the owner to share the extreme driving experience with other passengers

The Ferrari SP-8, a roadster based on the F8 Spider, was built exclusively for a Taiwanese customer. It is powered by a twin-turbo 3.9-litre V8 with 720 horsepower

by Francesco Michienzi

The SP-8, an incredible bespoke car, is based on the Ferrari F8 Spider, from which it takes its chassis and engine. Flavio Manzoni, head designer at the Centro Stile Ferrari, has once again hit the jackpot with this project for a Taiwanese client who wanted to own and drive a unique Ferrari. The name SP-8 is a tribute to the 3.9-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, winner of the International Engine of the Year award for four consecutive years. The number eight is also a symbol of success and luck in Taiwanese culture. What makes the SP-8unique is the absence of a retractable hardtop. This required careful aerodynamic refinement through simulation, wind tunnel and dynamic testing.

The elimination of the retractable hardtop has allowed the rear to be redesigned. The full-width monolithic grille dominates the front.

FERRARI ONE-OFFS ARE EXCLUSIVE CARS, CREATED BY THE MARANELLO COMPANY’S SPECIAL PROJECTS PROGRAMME IN COLLABORATION WITH THE CUSTOMER.

Both the front and rear of the car have been redesigned using 3D printing technology, while the arrangement of vertical slats at the front has been optimised to direct airflow to the front radiators. Matt black paintwork adds a touch of exclusivity. The matt silver colour harmonises with the carbon fibre section, whose pattern and colour are also unique. The interior of the Ferrari has been completely redesigned, with a special centre console to house the F1 controls introduced on the SF90 Stradale. The seats are upholstered in Blu Navy Alcantara combined with a gradient cloth. Special twill carpets with an iridescent effect complete the interior.

Lamborghini presented the Huracán Sterrato in Miami, on the occasion of Art Basel, an off-road version of the supercar with the naturally aspirated V10 engine. It will be produced in just 1,499 examples

by Francesco Michienzi

On the occasion of Art Basel Miami, Lamborghini presented the Huracán Sterrato. This is the first super sports car designed for maximum driving pleasure even when you are far from asphalt and venture on uneven terrains or dirt roads – a true reinterpretation of the very concept of sportiness.

The driving position is low and tilted backwards, almost like in a one-seater. The digital screen can be controlled with virtual buttons in addition to further commands for the air conditioning system and other functions. The levers handling the transmission remain physical and the interior is fitted with Alcantara Verde Sterrato upholstery. Leather and carbon fibres are the dominant materials and the unfailing manettino switch on the steering wheel to manage the different driving modes is also present.

The central display includes new functions dedicated to off-road driving as well as the new Rally driving mode in the LDVI (Lamborghini Dinamica Veicolo Integrata) system.

Huracán Sterrato is equipped with the 5.2-litre V10 engine in a version with 610hp in maximum power and 560 Nm in torque (at 6500 rpm), combined with a 7-speed dual-clutch gear shift and the electronically controlled all-wheel drive with rear mechanical self-locking differential.

Designed to offer top performance on dirt and sandy terrains, it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds and reaches a maximum speed of 260 km/h.

ENGINE

MAXIMUM POWER
610 hp at 6500 rpm
TORQUE
560 Nm 6500 rpm
GEARSHIFT
Automatic 7-speed dual-clutch
MAXIMUM SPEED
260 km/h

The Huracán Sterrato has the same 5.2 V10 engine as the other models in the range and delivers 610 hp and 560 Nm. Also, in this case, it is paired with an automatic 7-speed dual-clutch transmission and all-wheel drive with a rear self-locking differential.

To allow the supercar to drive off the beaten track and have a greater excursion of the suspension, the ground clearance has been increased by 44 mm compared to the Huracán Evo, while the front and rear tracks have been widened by 30 and 34 mm respectively.

The aluminium shielding reduces scratches and damage to the front, while the large air intake on the rear hood supplies the V10 with clean air even when it is unleashed on dusty roads. The braking system is also perfectly Lamborghini, with 380 mm carbon-ceramic discs on the front and 356 mm on the rear. There will not be many lucky owners of this model, which will be made in only 1,499 examples.
